With nine locations nationwide, we specialise in Strength & Conditioning, offering results-focused programs within a supportive, community-driven environment. Led by some of Australia’s top-performing coaches, we prioritise education, technique, and empowering members to reach their full potential.

98 PERFORMANCE

Our flagship strength & conditioning program (PRF) is a 6 day training plan focused on boosting strength, power and endurance.

98 HYBRID

Our hybrid program (HYB) consists of 4 unique workouts tailored for individuals looking to maximise their effort efficiently, work hard and continue with their day.

Our Team

EM BONACCORSO
Gym Manager

Originally from Perth, Em moved to Melbourne to join one of Australia’s top cheerleading teams, a relocation initially for the 2020 World Championships that turned into a transformative five-year journey.

During this time, Em earned her Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, secured podium finishes at the 2021 and 2023 World Championships in Florida, and transitioned into the fitness industry. Joining the 98 community through FYFs, Em quickly rose to Melbourne manager. Following the temporary closure of 98 Melbourne, Em relocated to Sydney, where she successfully managed multiple 98 locations, including Bondi, Newcastle, and Neutral Bay.

With 98 Gym’s return to South Melbourne, Em is back to her roots, bringing her proven leadership, experience, and passion to lead this next chapter.

ARTHUR GIOULEKAS
Coach

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (Anatomy and Physiology)
  • Coaching since 2016

Arthur discovered his passion for strength and conditioning during his studies, coaching younger athletes in both gym and sporting environments. Currently completing his Physiotherapy degree, he also worked as head coach and manager at a gym in Albury, specialising in boxing and conditioning classes.

A natural competitor, Arthur strives to set a high standard and support others in achieving their goals. He’s excited to bring his energy and expertise to 98 Melbourne and can’t wait to challenge you.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Personal Training & Sports Massage Therapy – Premier Global UK
  • Kettlebell Coach (IKFF, World Kettlebell Club)
  • Powerlifting/Olympic Lifting Coach – Level 1 (Powerlifting Australia, Australian Weightlifting Federation)
  • Kit Laughlin Stretch Practitioner:tm: & Teacher

Born and raised in New Zealand, Nate’s passion for fitness was shaped by his early years in competitive basketball and rugby union. While living in the United Kingdom, he rediscovered his passion for a structured approach to training, which inspired him to pursue a career in personal training. Now with over 15 years of industry experience, Nate calls Melbourne home and works with a diverse range of clients to help them achieve their goals.

Nate’s focus encompasses strength and conditioning, with a strong emphasis on improving mobility and overall movement quality.

Through his coaching, and anchored by the 98 Philosophy, Nate helps individuals break through barriers to achieve sustainable results by fostering a mindset of effort, resilience, and consistency
