Noah first entered a gym when he was 13. He still remembers the day like it was yesterday. It was Bob Landers Gym, South Hurstville. That gym is long gone but the passion for lifting weights and fitness that came from those early days never left him. Noah’s life took him in various directions, especially to education where he has spent over 25 years transforming lives through learning. That entire time he has remained on a fitness journey that has included amateur bodybuilding, boxing, martial arts and CrossFit. In recent years, Noah has taken his journey in fitness more seriously, retraining as a PT and coach, and deciding to open a gym of his own which is what brought Noah and 98 together. The relationship between them has gone from strength to strength based on shared values and a commitment to improving people’s lives by delivering the highest quality, science-based, strength and conditioning programs. 98 Neutral Bay is the culmination of a long journey and a dream that started in a suburban gym over 40 years ago.

Joshua’s sport, health and fitness journey began as early as age 4 with soccer, swimming, and Little Athletics. In the 30-something years since, that experience has expanded somewhat to include competing in endurance events such as Ironman triathlons, as well as multiple functional fitness competitions including Turf Games.
Josh has also served as a Clearance Diver in the RAN for over 14 years (and counting), as well as within security operations in the private sector. Josh brings the lessons from this diverse experience into his coaching, with a focus on goal-oriented mindset and competition mentality. He aims to encourage members not to shy away from challenges because of difficulty, but rather to embrace the opportunity for growth brought on by arduous experiences. He embodies this ethos in his own life, and is currently completing his MBA, a task of greater tribulation than any other he has been through (or so he claims).
Outside of his various professional roles, Josh’s personal interests are just as broad, ranging from finance and investing, to craft beer and fine wine. Josh has been a part of the 98 network since 2017 when he was invited to join the FYF squad, at the insistence of his sister Kate. He has been an asset to the team ever since, and we’re excited now for members to benefit from his unique experience.
