Harriet Walker

Qualifications:

  • Cert III & IV fitness
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition
  • Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Diploma leadership management
  • Accredited Practicing Dietitian
  • Accredited Sports Dietitian

Harriet is the owner of 98 Canberra and has been involved with the 98 brands for close to 9 years. After just one session at the original 98 Riley St gym, Harriet knew that the 98 training and culture was something she wanted to be around and share with others.

Involved in Canberra’s fitness industry for over a decade, completing her certificates III and IV in fitness between studying for her degree in human nutrition and master in dietetics Harriet has competed across several sports at a local, state and national level including rowing, strongman, bodybuilding and surf boat rowing. These experiences have provided her with a deeper understanding of athletic development and a profound appreciation for programmed training over random workouts for longevity and efficient outcomes. As a coach she loves teaching her clients the benefits of strength-based training, as well as how completing challenging sessions positively impacts their sense of accomplishment and confidence outside of the gym.

Through his professional and personal experiences, Jay realized the value of high-quality training for both physical and mental health. Notably, his personal experience with sport, exercise, and training contributed to a keen interest in the physiology of exercise and how it can be delivered for its complete effects.

Jay has diverse coaching experience within youth/adolescent sport, small & large group training, personal training, injury rehabilitation, and various clinical settings. Across the board, he values effort and a willingness to learn. He trusts that these qualities, practiced consistently, will lead to many personal wins in training and life.

Myf Galloway

  • Qualified yoga instructor (200hrs)
  • Bachelor in business specializing in marketing

Myffy has been working as a coach for over 10 years. For a number of those years, the focus of her health and fitness journey was on professional sports, more specifically road cycling. She competed domestically and professionally on the international circuit from 2009 until the end of 2012. In addition to this, she also competed at a National level for Olympic Weightlifting, in CrossFit and functional fitness competitions, and AFL.

It was in trying to find meaning in her training post her professional sporting career that Myf truly developed the love and respect she has for her physical body, the gym and coaching. Her years of experience have taught her that rigorous physical training can also serve as an ideal tool to use to help strengthen the mind and prepare it to thrive in the world outside of the gym. Myf’s training is now about discovering what she is capable of both mentally and physically and loves that her physical appearance is simply a by-product of the effort put into this pursuit.

Myf now enjoys training in a variety of different disciplines with the goal to continue to strengthen her mind and body and inspire this same philosophy of health and fitness in others to support them to achieve incredible results.

Lauren Harper

  • Over 2 years experience in coaching and management in the fitness industry

An active and sporty individual since the age of 5, Lauren represented the ACT in both Futsal and soccer, winning various accolades for her skill development as a player and her sportsmanship over 16 years.

Her career came to an end with an ACL tear in 2017 that inevitably and unexpectedly ignited her love for gym training.

Her drive and passion for fitness, along with her understanding of functional movement to the methodology; which led her to obtain her Certificates III and IV in fitness to follow her dream of becoming a coach.

Lauren is passionate about her work and fulfilled by assisting her clients and members through their training.

Ella Ryan

Ella is a passionate coach who loves being in team environments and participating in

all different sports. Ella began calisthenics at the age of 3, competing for 12 years, has represented the ACT in Oztag and AFL between the ages of 11 and 15 and the ACT, has played rugby for the Brumbies at a schoolgirl and Super W level from 2019 to 2022 and in 2019 she represented Australia in Rugby 7s at the Global Youth Sevens. Most recently, Ella has played for the NSW Waratahs in Super W in 2023 and was selected for the inaugural Canberra Raiders NRLW team in 2023-2024.

Along with an extension resume in elite sport, Ella continues to develop her professional skills as a coach holding Strength and Conditioning Level 1 and Certificate III & IV in fitness,

Rachel Graham

Qualifications:

Certificate III & IV

With over 15 years training experience across multiple modalities including functional fitness, CrossFit, Olympic lifting, powerlifting, cycling and running Rachel fell into coaching seven years ago and has since coached hundreds of clients across fitness studios in Canberra.

Alongside her love of coaching, she has a passion for teaching and upskilling other coaches, currently studying her cert IV in training and assessment to allow her to teach fitness certifications to upcoming coaches at TAFE.  Rachel is a natural teacher of movement and enjoys working with clients to establish and refine their technique. Rachel excels at working with people of all fitness and training experience levels to enable them to get the most out of their sessions and meet their fitness goals.
